Stephen Kabera Karanja has a doctorate degree in Law (Dr. Juris) from the University of Oslo, a Master of Arts degree in European Science, Society and Technology University of Oslo, and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi. He has worked for many years as a senior researcher and lecturer at the Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law, the Section for Information Technology and Administrative Systems, and the Norwegian Center for Human Rights in the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo.
He has also worked and practiced as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. His main research and teaching interests are in administrative information systems, privacy and human rights. Currently, he works at the Norwegian Labor and Welfare Directorate as a senior advisor. He also has a passion for investments and is the founder of Karanja Invest where he has been a Director and Consultant.
As an Investor, he helps African Diaspora connect with Great Generational Startup Investments in Kenya and Africa. In his role as the Nordic Countries Regional Director for UBRICA he is building a vibrant UBRICA Community in the countries. Through the community, members can take advantage of investment opportunities being generated by UBRICA One projects
